Sambuca Italian Bistro sits in the heart of Hillcrest San Diego serving contemporary Italian cuisine since fall of 2004. A cozy, candle lighted place with the aroma of roasted garlic and fresh basil welcomes patrons along with warm smiles from our friendly staff.  The name of the restaurant derives from Sambuca Italian liquor because it can be found in many of our signature dishes as a delightful addition to the homemade sauces.   Fresh seafood is easily found on our menu cooked to perfection as well as filet mignon in a signature balsamic sherry sauce.  We carry our own private labeled wine specially made from Napa, California that enhances the rich aroma and flavor of Sambuca Italian cuisine.  Our goal is to provide our customer with excellent service in a casually elegant environment for dinner seven days a week.
